Angela Passanise, D.O. of The Corvallis Clinic’s Orthopedic and Sports Medicine Department, in collaboration with The Corvallis Clinic’s Foundation, is presenting a donation of $500 to the Santiam Christian High School Athletic Department on Friday, January 17th.
The donation is for the recognition of SC students, families and staff who participated in The Clinic’s October 5, 2019 “Run for the Health of It” Annual 5K Run/Walk. South Albany High School will receive $1,000, $700 will be donated to Philomath High School and Corvallis High School has received $1,000. The race was founded by Dr. Angela Passanise, Orthopedic Surgeon of The Corvallis Clinic’s Orthopedic and Sports Medicine Department.

“The timing of the donation was excellent as we are right in the middle of a fundraising drive to gather funds for equipment and supplies for our winter sports programs,” says Jay Barton, Athletic Director for Santiam Christian High School. “Our race was started a year ago to promote good health and to support local high school sports programs. Proceeds from the race are distributed to the schools with the greatest number of race participants. We’ve been thrilled by the growing community support for the race, and are honored to be able to contribute to four different schools this year, says Dr. Angela Passanise. Santiam Christian would like to thank the Corvallis Clinic for their generosity, and for their efforts in their annual “Run for the health of it 5K”.
The $500 donation will be presented to Santiam Christian High School at half-time around 6:30 PM PST on Friday, January 17th, 2020 in the gymnasium during the boys’ basketball game.
The Corvallis Clinic’s goals are to increase more race participants, donations to high school athletic programs and award larger donations to athletic departments for the 2020 Run for the Health of It 5k.
