Mallory Fillmore, PA-C, grew up in the suburbs of St. Paul, Minnesota. At 18, Mallory began her career in healthcare by working in medical records at a family practice office. There, she first discovered the physician assistant profession, which inspired her to pursue a career dedicated to providing compassionate and comprehensive care. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Luther College in Decorah, Iowa, before completing a master’s degree at Midwestern University in Downers Grove, Illinois.
Mallory is dedicated to helping patients enhance their sleep quality, recognizing its significant role in improving overall quality of life. “Sleep medicine is an interesting field because sleep impacts so many different aspects of health, including immune function, metabolism, and mental health. Improving sleep quality can greatly impact a person’s overall well-being.” She is particularly interested in the relationship between circadian rhythms and metabolic function.
Known for being thorough and approachable, Mallory prioritizes creating a comfortable patient environment during appointments. For her, the most rewarding moments come when patients express feeling understood and cared for.
Outside work, Mallory enjoys reading (horror specifically), cross-stitching, going to the farmers market, strength training, walking, and riding bikes with her daughter. As is also a dedicated fan of OSU gymnastics.
