CORVALLIS — Michael Stringari, lead sonographer in The Corvallis Clinic Imaging Services, has earned the Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) certification granted by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Mr. Stringari, who has been with The Clinic since 1993, recently passed the MRI exam administered by ARRT.
“Mike added MRI credentials to his already impressive list of accomplishments and exemplifies the type of employee The Corvallis Clinic strives to hire, encourage and retain,” said Ron McCrae, manager of Imaging Services.
Mr. Stringari had to meet education and ethics requirements before taking the exam. Employers, state licensing agencies, and federal regulators look at the ARRT credential as an indication that a person has met a recognized national standard for medical imaging, interventional procedures, and radiation therapy professionals.
Mr. Stringari is also the PACS/RIS administrator (Picture Archiving and Communication System and Radiology Information Systems) for Imaging Services.
The Corvallis Clinic, an independent, physician-led medical group, is a comprehensive multi-specialty organization, serving Benton, Linn and Lincoln counties.
