CORVALLIS — Paul Jaques, (pronounced Jake-Wiss), DPT, has been hired as a physical therapist at The Corvallis Clinic at Walnut Boulevard. For an appointment, call 541-754-1265.
Jaques was a personal trainer at Excell Fitness in Newberg, OR, from 2014 to 2016 and an exercise specialist at The Corvallis Clinic from 2010 to 2013. He also was a baseball coach at Corvallis High School from 2009 to 2013 and an exercise specialist in Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation at Samaritan Health Services in Corvallis in 2010.
He is a Licensed Physical Therapist and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS).
“It’s rewarding to help people overcome pain and disability,” Jaques said of his practice. In addition, he said “it’s important to keep physical therapy as enjoyable as possible.” For that reason, he said, patients usually describe him as “caring and having a good sense of humor.”
He is especially interested in injury prevention, particularly with athletes and physically active adults.
Jaques earned a Doctor in Physical Therapy from George Fox University, Newberg, OR, in 2016. He earned Bachelors of Science in Exercise and Sports Science – Fitness & Nutrition from Oregon State University in 2010.
Mr. Jaques, his wife and two daughters enjoy muddy-obstacle-course racing, camping, swimming and indoor soccer.
