Benjamin Bogert, DPM, was raised in Beaverton, Oregon, where his passion for staying active was evident through his involvement in sports like basketball, soccer, track, and cross-country. He pursued a degree in Athletic Training at Oregon State University, where he not only honed his skills but also met his wonderful wife. After graduating, Dr. Bogert gained valuable experience coaching college basketball and working as a medical scribe, which deepened his interest in the medical field. His journey then took him to Des Moines, Iowa, for podiatry school, followed by a residency at Legacy Health in Portland, Oregon. Now, Dr. Bogert and his wife are proud parents of three boys, each born in a different state, and they are excited to be back in Corvallis.
Dr. Bogert’s passion for healthcare was inspired at an early age by his mother, a dedicated nurse. Combining his interests in sports and medicine, he initially pursued Athletic Training. After experiencing foot and ankle injuries as a high school athlete, he sought to expand his knowledge in podiatry. His time as a medical scribe in a podiatry department revealed the meaningful connections podiatrists make with their patients and the hands-on nature of the specialty, solidifying his desire to pursue this path.
Dr. Bogert believes that building trust with patients is essential for effective healthcare. He strives to provide high-quality, evidence-based care while recognizing that each patient’s goals may differ. By actively listening and collaborating, he aims to help patients achieve their desired outcomes. Patients describe him as honest, friendly, empathetic, and occasionally humorous, as he believes a personal touch can make all the difference in their experience.
Outside of work, Dr. Bogert loves spending time with his wife and three energetic boys. He enjoys trips to the coast, playing and watching sports (Go Beavs!), reading, playing board games, and watching movies and TV shows. As an avid podcast listener, he is always on the lookout for new content to explore.
