Galit Rudelson, MD, is a compassionate and personable obstetrician and gynecologist with a unique background. Born in Jerusalem, Israel, she moved to the United States at a young age and was raised in Columbia, Missouri, in a fun mixture of Russian and American culture. An active child, her parents guided her to pursue gymnastics, where she spent 20-30 hours weekly. This experience instilled in her a strong sense of self-motivation, teamwork, and a love for camaraderie that continues to inspire her. Driven by a fascination with medicine, she embarked on a journey to become a doctor to help people and provide them with knowledge about their health and bodies. She obtained her undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan before heading to medical school at the University of Missouri. Her interest in obstetrics and gynecology stems from the deep and lifelong connections patients establish with their OB/GYNs during significant life moments, such as pregnancy announcements and deliveries.
Dr. Rudelson can be described in two words: energy and personable. She takes the time to get to know her patients as complete individuals, considering their past experiences, support systems, and interests to provide personalized and comprehensive care. “Each patient has their own journey, and I am here to support it.” Her high energy and passion for her work create a positive atmosphere and enhance the patient experience.
Dr. Rudelson specializes in all aspects of obstetrics and gynecology. She has a special interest in the care of teenagers and strives to give them a positive OB/GYN experience, stating, “I find joy in helping my younger patients feel at ease, to help them understand their own health and become their own advocates.” Additionally, Dr. Rudelson is passionate about assisting women with large fibroid uteruses, understanding the profound impact these diagnoses can have on their daily lives. She is also deeply committed to family planning, offering personalized guidance on building a family, controlling fertility, and ensuring her office is a safe space for open, trusted conversations.
Outside of work, Dr. Rudelson enjoys biking and indulging in her love for reading, especially fantasy, non-fiction, and science fiction. She enjoys hiking and adventuring with her fiancé, family, friends, and loyal canine companion.
