Shannon Trammell, PA-C, was born and raised in Roseburg, Oregon, and has spent her life in the Pacific Northwest. From an early age, she was drawn to science and medicine, leading her to pursue a career in healthcare. She attended Oregon State University, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in BioHealth Sciences in 2015. With a strong desire to work closely with patients and make a meaningful impact on their health, she continued her education at Pacific University, earning her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies in 2019.
She began her career in primary care, where she spent five years managing a wide range of conditions and developing a strong foundation in preventative care, chronic disease management, and patient education. During this time, she developed a particular interest in neurology, appreciating the complexity of the nervous system and the opportunity to improve patients’ quality of life through thoughtful, personalized care. Her experience in primary care also gave her valuable insight into recognizing early signs of neurological disorders and ensuring patients received timely evaluation, treatment, and referrals.
Ms. Trammell is passionate about creating a welcoming and supportive environment for her patients. She believes in a collaborative approach to care, where patients feel empowered to take an active role in their health. She takes the time to listen to each individual’s concerns, ensuring they feel heard, respected, and fully informed about their condition and treatment options. Her goal is to provide compassionate, evidence-based care that helps patients confidently navigate their health challenges.
Outside of work, Ms. Trammell enjoys exploring the outdoors, spending time hiking, kayaking, and camping with her husband and their golden retriever, Zuko. She deeply loves music and plays the violin in a Celtic band, Rovers and Dragons, in her hometown of Roseburg. Other interests include yoga, baking, puzzles, drawing, traveling, and experiencing new cultures. One of her most memorable experiences was spending six weeks in Nepal during her PA school clinical rotations, providing medical care in a unique and resource-limited setting.
