Will Davis, DO, was born and raised in Columbia, TN, and developed an early interest in healthcare through the influence of his mother, a nurse practitioner. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Tennessee before pursuing a master’s degree from Midwestern University in Downers Grove, IL, where he met his wife. Both attended medical school together at Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed their residency training in Grand Rapids, Michigan. During residency, they welcomed their daughter, Joellyn.
Dr. Davis was motivated to pursue a career in healthcare by his deep respect for the medical profession and his family’s involvement in the field. While unsure of his specialty during medical school, his love for family medicine was sparked during a pivotal clinical rotation. He found that “family medicine felt like the best way to be a patient advocate while also caring for and educating in a personable manner.”
As an osteopathic physician, he has unique training in osteopathic manipulative medicine, which can often be a tremendous non-pharmaceutical approach to treating various conditions. His approach to patient care centers on listening attentively to his patients’ concerns, understanding their lives beyond their health issues, and offering thoughtful and flexible solutions.
Outside of work, Dr. Davis leads an active and diverse lifestyle. He enjoys watching Tennessee Vols sports, playing guitar, engaging in tennis and pickleball, snowboarding, motorcycling, weightlifting, reading, golfing, camping, hiking, and spending time outdoors.
