You must be accompanied by an adult family member or friend over 18 who can take responsibility for you and sign your discharge papers.
Sedatives are given during the procedure, so driving or operating any heavy equipment on the day of the examination is dangerous and should be avoided under all circumstances. You should also plan for someone you know to remain with you during your recovery following your procedure.

5 Days Before Your Procedure
STOP:
- NSAIDS, including Ibuprofen (Motrin/Advil), Naproxen (Aleve), and similar medications
OKAY/APPROVED:
- Aspirin 81 mg (baby Aspirin)
- Any regular medications (especially blood pressure and/or heart medications)
- Acetaminophen (Tylenol)
The Day of Your Procedure
STOP:
- No solid foods after midnight before your procedure
OKAY/APPROVED:
- You may have small sips of water up to 3 hours before your scheduled arrival time
